I had an imaginary friend when I was really young. He was Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas. I felt safe when I thought about Jack being right there by my side. He was my tall, skinny, non-eyeballed friend. I always made my cute mom put him in his seat belt whenever we went in the car, he always had a place setting at the dinner table, which of course was just an empty plate but nonetheless he would still get hungry, and he would always go down the dark basement stairs first so as to make sure nothing was going to jump out and scare me. There is a song by Kate Nash called the Skeleton Song. The song is about her imaginary friend who is a skeleton and she can't seem to get rid of him because she loves him too much. It is one of my favorite songs of all time.
